Ordering Instructions
How to Order Your Paradox Pickguard
1. Confirm Your Fitment
First things first: make sure you’re selecting the correct pickguard for your guitar. Carefully review the model fitment details listed on the product page.
Your make, model, sub-model, series, year, and country of origin must match exactly to ensure proper fit.
If your instrument differs in any way, or if you’re unsure, we strongly recommend contacting us before ordering. We’re always happy to help you find the right pickguard.
2. Choose Your Material
Next, select your material. We offer 80+ material options, so whether you’re looking to make a bold statement or simply replace a stock guard while upgrading pickups or controls, we've got you covered.
All Paradox pickguards are handcrafted to order in the USA using high-quality, USA-made materials. Our materials include various plastics such as acrylic, PVC, cellulose, and Bakelite.
We do not offer metal pickguards at this time.
We recommend reviewing our Materials page before starting your order to ensure you choose the perfect option.
If you have a fretboard that overhangs the pickguard, you will need to measure the gap between the instrument body and the fretboard to make sure your desired material will fit.
3. Select Custom Options
Finally, customize your pickguard to your needs. Available options include:
- Right- or left-hand orientation
- Mounting hole removal
- Control hole additions, deletions, or changes
- Pickup routing to match most major pickup manufacturers’ specifications
- Optional custom bevels (available on select materials)
For the best protection against hum, buzz, and radio interference, don’t forget to add full copper shielding.
